You can search things using voice (if you have the Amazon Fire TV or the newer models with the voice remote control) and it will list the content available (if the app is compatible with search it will be in results too). For me I can search for a movie or TV series and it will show me results for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu... Now, within the Netflix app itself you can only search by entering the program name (or similar) by using the on-screen keyboard via remote control or if using a wireless keyboard (both Bluetooth and those nano-receiver ones - such as Logitech and others) work fine.

I'm having problems at the moment with the Flash Briefing not updating.

I had it set to 1 News and I had the same breifing for 3 days in a row. I thought it was because it was the weekend and there was no news, but it still didn't update, so I switched to Stuff updates. Now I've had the same Stuff update two mornings in a row. What's going on?

Can anyone shed some light on this issue with the Amazon Home Hub.

I live in Wellington, and the Wife likes to listen to More FM. Si and Gary, she especially followed, and when they moved their show to Auckland only, and replaced the wellington show with Polly and someone else, She listened each morning via the internet stream.

I can home with the Amazon Echo a month ago, and had fun with it then realised we could play the More FM Auckland stream, vie the Tunein app.

Asking Alexa to play "More FM Auckland" resulted in, "There is no More FM in Oakland" so I was playing the station via the phone app history each time.

Spring forward and last week music was set up on the routines, Great thinks I

SO I set up When you say "Alexa Breakfast time" Set Volume to 5 and play intune More FM Auckland. Which worked great ! Till this week.

The problem I have now is when I try the same routine, I get an announcement that More FM Philadelphia can not be streamed outside of the United States.

Does anyone know whats happened or can advise how I can ask for More FM Auckland to be played by the Wife ?

You know how much buy in you have to get from the other half ion these and shes getting turned off by the thing now its not doing what I said it would.

Having a problem getting Alexa to hear commands when the TV or radio is on, even when it is a metre away to the side of the TV/Radio. Pretty big weakness if trying to use it to control 'noisy' devices.

Only other place with 240V is alongside our chairs opposite the TV but this is not where you want it.

Can't see any solutions but will post it anyway to hear what others say.

@Amp. Hear what you say - any change we make 'for the better' has to be perfect from the get go!

I have a problem with the Alex app on my new Meizu Note 6, I installed the app yesterday then within a few hours of installing I open the Alex app and I get the following pop up message .....

Amazon Appstore required

Amazon Appstore is not installed on your device. Please install Amazon Appstore and sign into Amazon to use this app

then you can Quit or Help

Quit closes the Alexa app

Help takes you to the Amazon Appstore download, I have downloaded, installed, signed in to Amazon Appstore

After installing Amazon appstore the message still appears when accessing the Alexa app, I tried Force stop, cleared data, rebooted but still not able to access Alexa app.

I uninstalled the Alex app and reinstalled and everything good again but the pesky message has come back again a few hours later.

Anyone come across this issue?

I installed the Alexa app from Google Play Store its the same app as I had installed on my previous phone which was a Galaxy s4 mini and that works fine.

Going to uninstall and reinstall again this time with Amazon Appstore loaded directly from Amazon rather than Playstore some posts out there referencing to downloading the Amazon Appstore direct from Amazon, will report back if there is an success or failure.

I think this is going to be work in progress, the Amazon appstore seems to be the dominant factor in this issue and not the Alexa app it might even be the Meizi M6 Note phone.

I actually went to Amazon support and after 1 email and 12 department transfers and 1 dump in Amazon chat support no one can figure out what the issue might be, lastly I resorted to an app called Lucky Patcher (much to the disgust of Playstore and Android Appstore) who boasts they can remove the Amazon appstore pop up message but seems to be a dead end although it did remove adverts in some apps.

If I ever get this worked out be sure I will post it here for future reference because I am sure this could raise its head again.

I've had success calling out the entire name inc the frequency (e.g. Alexa Play More FM 91.8). a PITA though as I don't know the frequency for each station, only the station name (More FM, the Rock, etc).
