Ok, I've joined in. Got two devices (Heltec V3 and SenseCAP Tracker T1000-E).
The Heltec V3 will be permanently plugged in at home, the tracker card will likely be mobile.

scottjpalmer: The ability to connect the above boards to a network via WiFi enables MQTT to be used to upload data to web based maps such as https://meshtastic.liamcottle.net. MQTT also allows bridging to other nodes however this is often frowned upon as external traffic can quickly overwhelm the mesh and one of the main aims of Meshtastic is to be an off grid communication system.
What MQTT are everyone using? The Meshtastic default one or the liamcottle.net version?

I was using the liamcottle one, but the map is pretty average quality. You have to reload it to get new data and it doesnt centre around your position so using it in the car I am constantly repositioning it.
Now up to 87 nodes.

More activity than I ever saw in Auckland. Driving across the city I got at best a few location readings despite broadcasting regularly.
Kawaiicon in Wellington this weekend may be bumping up the numbers?

Found this nifty self-hosted project, MeshMonitor. Since I am running two nodes (one at home, connected to Wi-Fi, one on-the-go), I thought it was ideal to keep an eye on the home node even while away. It shows currently ~180 nodes.

I greyed out the other nodes leaving only details for my two ones in the list.
