th3r3turn: can anyone please tell me if you can upload PDFs onto it, I have a bunch of PDFs i would like to read on the kindle, but have not found a real answer.

Yep, you can just copy them over, although there is no way to "reflow" them, so you'll be zooming in/out and scrolling horizontally :|

Calibre converts pdfs to .mobi's fine for me so far. (The kindle will read .mobi's fine)

It doesn't. It's the Amazon price, in US$. The only difference is we get an affiliate commision and you help us keep going. Nothing else.

Hmm, can you tell us how much it gets you and/or how many have ordered through the affiliate link?
I'm pretty sure I ended up ordering mine that that link. (I hope!)

Well, I've got in an order. Hopefully it ships before the NZ$ dies again.

got the confirmation email that it shipped last night. Hopefully here early next week. I missed the Geekzone link when I ordered mine sorry. Are there other links we should be aware of when ordering stuff from suppliers that help support geekzone?

Do surveys for Beer money (referral link) - Octopus Group

Link for buying beer (not affiliated, just like beer) - Good George

Not many, we don't usually do affiliates link.

To help Geekzone, people should make sure they continue to buy Amazon Kindle books from our Amazon Kindle order page.

Well i've had mine for a few weeks now and i'm experiencing more and more frequent crashes and random reboots. It's not ideal as i seem to lose the last reading sessions worth of read pages. Makes it a little tough to find where i was up to when i've read several hundred pages....

Word on the grapevine is that there will be an official update available soon to help fix these. There is a beta version floating around now that hackers are tinkering with.
