Noticed its about to be released into the USA, but can't find any indication on when its coming to NZ and what prices will be...anyone have any ideas on this?

I don't think it's likely to be here on this side of Christmas, and perhaps not even soon after. I'd bet something like 2H 2007... If that.

Hope they're releasing the 60gb version when they do release globally, to make it worth the wait.

Too bad no online shops ship worldwide (except auctions) otherwise I'll be deciding what colours to get now, rather than sit here waiting for the worldwide release announcement.

Even though I have some degree of relationship with Microsoft, I have to agree. It's not compelling at all. The fact that

a) it's not compatible with WMP
b) it's not compatible with current MSN Music Store, Urge and Playsforsure platforms
c) the wireless feature does not allow downloads directly on to the device
d) its a U.S. launch only

spells failure...
