Hey, so I have an aging Micron alarm that I want to bring into the 21st century by adding an Ardunio and connecting it to the interwebs. Intending to start simple with something that will just send a message out when the alarm goes off, although later on something that can interface intelligently to tell if the alarm is set or not would be nice.

Does anyone have any info on these alarms that could help? Initially just knowing if there is an output I can pick up on to determine if the alarm has been activated is what I need.

Or alternatively I could just get the Micron network interface - but that would be no fun!

What model Micron?

I think you may have answered your own question when you say 'an aging Micron'
Could use the siren output to trigger something that'll tell you if it was activated, but so will the keypad when you disarm it

Have manuals here if you need, just need to know model and you need your installer code too
