Hi

Any one help with what this would be up to?

Brand new Acer E1-521 with built in webcam.

Having issues with it not being detected?

Any idea where the drivers are? Or a safe site to download some new ones?

Cheers
Chels

If you are using the software provided by Acer then drivers will be included automatically. I doubt it is a driver problem. You could try installing the webcam software from the application tab on the support page here:

http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?modelId=4277

but my guess is that is already on your system.

It is time to call Acer warranty.

Is the webcam enabled? A lot of PC's have a button/switch or keyboard shortcut to enable, so it would probably pay to read the manual first.
