Not sure if anybody else has there data but would be interesting to compare a few.  Every little bit helps when trying to lower the power bill and knowing what uses power is helpful.

Where did you source this information from? We have moved in to a property with a smart meter. Did you plug something in to it? Or did you find it on your power company's website? We are with PowerShop. It looks as if they supply all the statistics you could possibly ask for.

Every time I log in, I get an error saying my browser is not supported and I need to use my smart phone. Yet when I use my smart phone, I get the same error?

Pretend that I quoted from the op post...

Looking at the data, are you on genesis's day/night plan? Depending on where in the country you are, it can make quite big savings.
In Wellington, it's 21.58c for the day (7am-11pm), then, 11.73c for the night vs 23.11c for any time power (so, it's cheaper even if you don't change anything). Everyone should move to this plan - actually, don't, they would then change it.

If you were in Christchurch I think the off peak is from 9pm - (sometime in the morning that I can't remember), so, it's even better value.

Other places have varying differences between the day/night rates and in some places it's not worth it (for my usage).

You are correct Sir.  But some people have Gas for their hot water and I don't think everyone can get that plan but I could be wrong.  I am actually on the low user still works out $4 a month cheaper on highest bill.

fellaintga, why are you using so much power around midnight? Night store heater, water heater, or clothes drier?

I don't have a smart meter so I can't tell what I use when. I know that heating and this summer cooling is big given the two heat pumps we have, so is water heating, cooking less so but is probably up there somewhere.
