I am trying to capture an image automatically from this camera: Dahua IPC-HDB3200C

Then I want to post it to a website. I want to do this once an hour.

Anyone have any pointers?

I am a medium web developer. It seems this camera is kind of a pain, as it uses active X and in any of the three browers (IE10, Chrome, Firefox) not all the functions of the active x work.

Does't the camera have any setting to automatically sending an image via email or ftp? I had an old dlink years ago that coul dftp an image when it detected motion.

Or perhaps you can ssh/telnet to the camera and find where the camera internally stores the and pull it and send it out.

Try a Google search for ispy. I use this and it works well once you get you head around it. I'm not sure if it will support thatccamera but it will be worth a try. You don't need to pay for the feature you want so ling as you have access to a ftp server to upload to

The camera has an FTP option. Setting it to capture an image and post it to a FTP folder takes all of about 30 seconds to configure.

As this is a professtional CCTV camera and not a webcam I'm not sure if there is an option to upload just once every hour. You may need some 3rd party webcam software to do this.

It does have the FTP connection but I cannot get it to work properly.

It has an option for an internal SD card, but I haven't tried to pull from that yet.

I will check Ispy out.

OK.  The answer is with ispy.

For what ever reason the dahau FTP won't work, but it works with ispy.  I can upload the image to the FTP server and it is linked on the website.

Thanks for your help.

I use FTP on the Dahua's so it does work, the fact you haven't put a memory card in may be an issue.

Do you try to use the FTP to upload an image to a server?  I am trying to upload an image once per hour.
