I am considering buying a Kindle and am pretty sure I want to buy the Paperwhite model, but havn't decided yet if I will buy the WiFi version or the one that is capable of 3G too.
My question is how exactly does the 3G part work in NZ, from what I understand it runs off the Vodafone 3G network, but how do you get charged for internet usage on the Kindle eg: if I was to log on to my Amazon & purchase an ebook online through the Kindle, because surely there is no such thing as free internet usage through the 3G network.? Also does anyone know how good the 3G coverage is, as I live in a semi- rural area of NZ.
Thanks Laughing

It's Amazon that pays the network and any cost is built into the book price.

You can check your coverage here http://www.vodafone.co.nz/coverage/

There's no charge for buying or downloading books over 3G. That's it.
