What format is the music in?

What steps have you taken, in which you have failed?

ok well i dont actually know that much about this kind of stuff so i hope this is the correct information.
the Sonic stage files are: OpenMG audio file and the itunes files are AAC Audio. Also i have a pc not a mac, dont know if that information is relevant.
i haven't taken many steps just tried to import them and it said they weren't a valid export file.

Here's a shot of the iTunes File menu...

iTunes File Menu

You should be using either "Add File" or "Add Folder" to import your music.  "Import" is for where you've got an xml file e.g. from where you've copied tracks from your iPod to your PC using SharePod.

The other thing to remember is that there's an option on the Advanced tab in the Preferences that'll copy the files to your specified folder when adding (by default My Music in My Documents).  You may want to change this depending on how you want to store all your music (e.g. I have a special media drive).
