In my work, which involves interviewing, I use a wired webcam with microphone connected by a three meter USB lead to my laptop.

Often having this lead running from the webcam to the laptop is problematic if I am in an unfamilar room with a layout that makes setting up the webcam difficult.

Is there such a thing as a self-powered wireless webcam (with microphone) that can transmit directly to my wi-fi laptop, without the need for a router, or access to the internet?

The range to transmit would be no more then 5-6 meters (in the same room) and the webcam is not being used covertly, its out in the open and the person being interviewed is made aware of it.

I like the wired Logitec C150 HD webcam with microphone I am currently using but often there is no suitable furniture within easy reach to place the wired webcam on. Wireless would solve this problem.

All suggestions welcome.
