Cree has managed to get over 300 lumen per watt, can't wait for this to (eventually) make it to consumer light bulbs consuming 1/25 the power of incandescents.  And there lies the difference between CF and LED lighting, one is mature and the other has just started.

Interesting.  Just this weekend I picked up some Cree LED's (obviously less efficient than these) from Home Depot for US $4.50ea.

They only put out 800 lumens for the 9.5w usage, but it's much better than the 60w equiv and they light up instantly, which is good for the bathroom where I installed them :)
