Hi all, Just after some feedback from anyone that has some of the new Unifi Vision gear. Interested to know what you think of the video and, more importantra, the audio quality of the UVC and the UVC-Dome.
I've just installed two UVC cameras in a loading dock at work. Ceiling mounted quite high.
I'm pleased with the performance. The dockway is lit most of the time. Audio is ok for this placement. We have a noisy compressor shed nearby so this can drown out some of the audio.
I'm a little disappointed with IR performance. After going back to the specs the IR is only rated at 10m so the camera is doing what it is suppose to do. We only have one night a week when the lights are out. I might get some more ambient light in the area.
I'd be interested in trying the UVC-Pro which as a 30m IR distance. The pro version is a lot more expensive though.
When I first got the camera I left it on a desk over the weekend. It worked well inside and the IR lit up the room.
I'm using the motion recording and the biggest issue is birds setting off the recording.
I'm recording to a virtual Windows 7 machine on Hyper V on a 2012 Server Box. This works well.
