Hi guys, I am looking for some help

I was going to drop 2k on unifi cams and nvr, but I have just found out their nvr does not do live view. even though the nvr has hdmi,
I am looking at about six cameras to monitor fruit flow and stoppages in our packhouse these would be displayed live on a 40" tv. Secondary purpose would be security.
Approx 4 indoor and two outdoor cams with ability to add more with nvr with live view.
Can anybody recommend any products they have used that would be suitable.
Below is what I was considering till I learned of the live view difficulty with Unifi

Consider using the Unifi camera's running with a different NVR.

Blue Iris is quite good. Just get a half decent Windows PC, put some more hard discs in you are away. The interface looks a bit old but it does work well.

We use blueiris at work, it is cheap, but really effective. It also comes with some pretty good web interface options too so if you set it up on a camera server with a fixed IP, you can allow access to it from local subnet from any PC. In terms of cams, we use Axis, but I am not sold on them as being the best for cost vs picture quality. Blueiris works with practically any IP camera though so go with what you are happy with. Get a relatively good desktop though, think i5+, 8GB+, primary drive with a WD Purple drive for recording that should easily cover 6 cams. More is better if you may be running more cams later though.

I've used ContaCam for a couple of months with 1 camera, planning on adding more. Seems to do the job well and should do all you want it to? Recordings are saved in a folder structure according to year, then month, then date.

Dahua NVR + Dahua IP cameras = excellent combo. Get the below store to ship the NVR +Camera lot in via free DHL shipping like they offer for NVR. Buy couple of 4TB 7200RPM WD Black or Seagate drives for the NVR and a 8 port PoE switch with 16 total standard network ports in it.

@Chevrolux, I think the latest unifi cams have issues with blue iris ,
@nakedmolerat, yes I was looking at the unifi ubiquiti cams

Bill Gates, thankyou for the seller recomendation.

I am looking at the NVR4208-8P as it has poe out. one less thing to worry about, means more cable but I can get it at wholesale.
The recommended cameras look good, I think most will be the bullets with the dome outside.
when selecting a camera is which is recommended pal or ntsc, I assume the dvr can cope with either,
Which would be the pick of the Ptz's for around $500 also that is compatible with the 4208 Nvr

Because these are IP cameras, NVR with HDMI out, NTSC/PAL is pointless but select PAL anyway. I prefer to have a separate quality PoE switch from the likes of ZyXel or D-Link. Less noise, heat from AIO unit and you can also add a PC, server etc to the same switch if need be to have network connectivity. Nothing wrong otherwise with built in PoE switches in the Dahua NVR's.

Quality IP PTZ cameras are not cheap. Below is a recommendation. Around USD$1000 mark

Hikvision is another brand whose NVR and IP cameras I really like. Cheaper than Dahua's and offer more bang for buck (3MP Dome for USD$90 incl delivery) but there are confusions around Chinese/English GUI/Firmware buying it out of China so would not recommend specially for a business. You can find distributors for Hikvision in NZ but good luck not getting ripped off. The distributors in NZ for both Dahua and Hikvision add a nice 100%+ markup and then on sell it to retailers who then add their own markup on top. Dahua is your best bet in terms of pricing straight out of Aliexpress with English firmware on both the cameras and NVR and ease of setup.

I have been in contact with the seller, DHL on the total order is no issue, He has even offered to upgrade the HFW4300 3mp as the same price as the 1.3.

This has been suggested as a Ptz, youtube footage looks ok only thing that worries me is lack of dome cover.

Would not buy an expensive PTZ like that without a dome cover (prefer metal body) if installing outside. Good deal on the 3MP upgrade though! If you are also looking for HDD, make sure to buy 2x of whatever size (2TB minimum so 4TB or bigger (8TB is max total capacity). Have tested and tried WD Black and Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM drives without any issues.

While Hikvision make good equipment with good picture quality their security holes mean I would never go near the stuff.
