i have an old sony xperia phone which im thinking about giving to my 7 year old as an mp3/media player. ive removed the sim but am unsure if it can still call out?/ (emergency calls??) i dont want him to call 111 or similar if hes playing with it....

any thoughts?

i actually got my  son a LG L3 phone for $58 as a replacement for his ipod, he only uses it as a mp3 player and he loves it, i put the player pro music player on it and the battery lasts for days . would do it again .




Common sense is not as common as you think.

Root and then delete phone app?

Edit: That's what I've done to my old S2 for exactly the same reason.
