Went into DSE ebcuase they were selling the Kindle paperwhite 2 for just $169 on special , and getting one for a family member. Anyone know how they can sell them so cheap, because when I looked on the amazon website, they were about $200 including shipping to NZ. DSE also gives you CGA protection. Thoeretically Amazon should be the cheapest way to buy them, so wonder how DSE are able to sell them cheap. Anyone know?.

Tip my hat to DSE for actually selling item that people want for a great price. Local retailers have been lacking in action lately apart form complain about internet channels and imports

Maybe DSE needs the customers(hardly see anyone in the stores here), and they see the Kindle as the ideal thing to sell, as there will be a lot of people sitting around on holiday reading. So they are prepared to cut their losses maybe.

I was thinking they may have also purchased a large quantity when the nz dollar was a lot stronger. A pity they aren't selling the voyage, as Amazon don't sell that to nz for some reason, without using you post.

$199 seems to be a high price tag for Voyage - for what the paperwhite does amazing well
