So I have owned the sony sw2 the lg rg rg er or whatever the stupid name is
and today my Pebble came pre the 20% off they have at present damm them!

After setting it up and having a play with it I feel like I have now have a Heathkit on my wrist!

But it all connected up smooth as silk unlike the sony and the lg that were a real pain

I have my doubts that it will become a permanent feature we will see but for $133? Yea worth the play

I love mine.

The cricket app was worth it's weight in gold during the world cup. Pausing Netflix from my watch is pretty damn cool too. But the most use I get from it is using it as a remote for audio playback (mostly audiobooks with me).

I like my Steel and the fact it's platform agnostic and the fact the battery lasts 5 days or so.

When I get some spare time I'm planning on doing some app development.

The new Pebble Time looks pretty interesting.

One of the things I liked about the sony and the lg was the vibrate function when one got a new notification, is there not that function on the pebble?

Definitely is. If your phone is Android, you need the Pebble app on your phone. If you want to respond to emails and text messages (you picked from a list of canned responses) you also need the Android Wear app on your phone.

Not sure about iPhone.

EDIT: Mine just buzzed to tell me to get something out of the freezer for tomorrow night's dinner. What an age we live in...

Sure does. From the watch screen press the Centre button, scroll down, select Settings, selected Notifications, scroll down and select Vibration.

It has one other neat feature, you can enable the "Motion" function which means when you move or flick your wrist the backlight comes on for a few seconds allowing you to see the screen in the dark. Centre button, scroll down, select Settings, scroll down, select Display.
