Looking at getting my first Raspberry Pi(s).

After some sort of starter kit that would let me do a couple of small projects.

Any suggestions of kits to get and places to buy them from?

I've never used them but have been tempted.

I got a Raspberry Pi case from Maplin in the UK.

+1 for NiceGear, always have been really great with pricing/shipping - Always respond quickly when asking questions via Twitter and normally had the Pi's ordered straight away when new models were released

Think I got my last one from RS, cheaper than the NZ vendors and arrived quickly. I get cases from ebay, bit slow but cheap, until it arrived I just poked holes in the cardboard box it came in, had the pi inside sitting on the antistatic mat with cables coming out the box.

tried their homepage, that exact url and chrome and IE.

Bad idea... the whole point of an anti-static mat is that it is conductive.

They have Pis and cases etc in stock for most models and have free delivery for online orders.

Was actually pretty impressed when I looked for a case for my older model Pi B and found they had one in stock for something like $5.
(Their prices exclude GST - which isnt that uncommon for computer shops).
Anyway - ordered it around 4.30pm one afternoon and it arrived by courier at work by about 10am. Free delivery as promised.

Thanks for the info, the RS site is easy to navigate and looks like they have everything.

For a first simple project I would recommend installing Kodi on the Pi. You can can distributions around that have both the base OS and the Kodi media manager included. It's a low cost project requiring only a micro-SD card and possibly a HDMI cable to connect to your TV. If you're lucky your TV will support CEC so you can control Kodi with just the TV remote.

Hi. I have solved this problem last Friday. Thanks Dave told me this. The reason of this is that I used a script named "ShareButton" in my website. It inserted a reference of javascript file(xxx.cloudfront.net/test.js) in the page and it will show the alert window in 1% chance.
