My parents have a Zen V Plus (4GB I think)

I made them get a cigarette adaptor to USB charger (ie a cigarette adaptor with a USB plug in it). I was under the impression that if they plug their USB cable into this adaptor it should charge. For some reason it doesn't, which means they have to go and charge it from their laptop (a real PITA). Has anyone else come across this? If it can't be charged this way, how can one charge from a car, or can't you?

hmmm this is an interesting problem. i would have assumed that the cigarette charger would work if you usually charge through usb via your computer? try checking the creative website and see if they have a cigarette charger for sale or if they have anything on it in their troubleshooting/help section.

well, a browse of the forum seems to suggest to update the firmware, geez I should have looked there before. Their forum has been quite useful in the past.

Shame they're a bit far away at the moment, i'll have to go and sort it out next time I see them.
