yus! doesn't that mean parallel importers can start bringing them to nz if they've been released in canada? zune's aren't region specific are they? (other than the plug obviously)

I have been thinking about importing one from the US.  Dont think there will be a plug issue as they charge via USB.  the thing I am worried about is the software as if you go to the zune site it know you are not from the US.  Not sure if it is only looking at you locale or it is something a bit smarter.

Man I really want one.  Why dont they use NZ as a test bed we love our gadgets.

surely there is other software that can be used for the zune other that the supplied stuff. after using itunes a few times i deleted it and found that there were hundreds of alternatives, my favourite being a winamp plugin for drag and drop transferring which was great as i already used winamp for music playback anyway. great to hear it charges through usb! i love it when a new gadget i buy doesn't take up one of my dwindling number of wall sockets. The "Zune II" is already available in the US and Canada. People have been bringing the Zune to New Zealand since its first model.

The software comes with the player - the site only blocks content but you can transfer your own songs to it.
