We have a large house with our modem in the garage. Because of this wifi range to other end of house where living room is, is useless.
I do have an ethernet port in living room wall which had cat 6 cable running back to modem and looking for good product I can plug ethernet cable into. So it crates wifi in living room.

Any advise on products please.

Or there's this Cambium one at 70% off via promo until the end of the month/stocks run out. See the geekzone thread for more info.

What you are looking for is called an access point.

There are really great ones - the ones above, or you can get cheaper ones which will probably be ok for under $100, such as http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=525395

Haha considering the OP hasn't used terms like 'access point' how on earth do you think they will go configuring any of the ubnt/xclaim/cambium options.

OP - I would suggest you need to go to an electronics store and ask them for a 'wireless access point'. Stressing it must not be a router and simply an access point. Any of the residential grade ones will be fine by the sounds of it. As much as I don't like Linksys, the software is super simple and you will running nice and quickly.

I think you'll find that you recommended Unifi to the OP in a previous thread.
