Hi There!

I've been a massive proponent of Anker and own a considerable number of their products including many USB cables.

Recently however I have had issues with them coming loosing, because the pins that secure them lose the upwardness. I've tried the solutions on the net, pushing them back up again but that doesn't work well.

I was in the US recently and wrote to them and they quickly arranged replacements, but the replacements have the same issue within 3 weeks!

They don't offer replacements shipped to NZ, and I am now reconsidering them as cables.

Anyone else had good experiences with other brands from the USA? I want something that comes in 6th, is excellent quality and ideally sold through amazon.

MUST support usb Fast Charging for Modern Android Devices.

I've always found the Amazonbasics cables to be top notch, I have heaps of them and never had a failure.  Might be because I have heaps of them and no one cable gets thrashed, but still...

Plus they're just too hard to get in NZ. If you buy them from not an official store they won't help you with it.

I got RavPower cables after the USB-C scandal on Amazon (lots of vendors selling non-compliant cables, many of which will fry your electronics if you use them, check Benson Leung's reviews). The RavPowers are fully compliant, and very well made.

I've been using UGreen from Aliexpress. Seems like the Anker of china. 2m for about $5 NZD and all good so far about 2 months

For USB-C's you really do need to get approved/compliant cables, the fact that a J.Random cable appears to work doesn't mean it's safe, just that it's OK with the current setup. In particular what a lot of the non-compliant cables were doing was coding them to indicate they could supply infinite current, from a device that couldn't supply infinite current, over wires that couldn't supply infinite current. An accident waiting to happen...

That was actually meant as a general comment rather than picking on UGreen, but I've just checked Benson Leung's eval, and they're not USB-C spec compliant. As the review says, "UGREEN's USB 2.0 A-C Cable is not spec compliant. May cause damage to charger, hub or PC USB ports".
