Not a computer question - but electronic. I have a Fujitsu heatpump and it won't run. Power is on, I've reset via the button (with pushing in a pen point), I've reset the clock. It appears to be stuck on a timer programme but I can't clear it off. I've clicked it through to cancel and the heatpump clicks, but it still won't go.

Any tips?

Tried that.  Have tried everything obvious that I can think of. It's a cold night, but it normally doesn't make it stop.

It will do a defrost and carry on.

Just guessing, what about powering down the outside unit. There should be a 'dial' type switch outside

Try resetting the outside unit. Power off, wait, power on, cross fingers.
