I have an LG G Watch R, and today it's now inviting me to "charge the watch to update to M1D65H".

Annoyingly, even though I knew that Wear 2.0 release was probable today, I forgot to grab the watch-charger before I came into work this morning, therefore I can't actually charge-and-update.

Has anyone else with an LG watch this update?  Is it "Wear 2.0" ?

Nice.

Typically, I had the charger on me yesterday "just in case", but the watch didn't offer the update....

reddit users say that M1D65H is just the February security patch for Wear 1.5.

@kiwi_64, how did you get the update on your watch?

Confirming M1D65H is just the February security patch for Wear 1.5 (I updated this morning). Please, @kiwi_64, let us know how you got the Wear 2.0 update.

Got the Wear 2.0 update on my LG Watch R early this morning, so if you have one of these, might pay to check for updates.

'System is up to date'; sadly. Having said that, a] it's normally a staged rollout, and b] I'm not in NZ currently, which may make a difference...

The collective wisdom of Reddit is that apparently if you continuously tap on the "big green tick" for 30 seconds, it'll force the update.

I tried, and yup - "charge watch to update".  Now I'm stuck on the "Downloading" screen; but I guess that's progress of a sort....

[Updates:]

Update #1: It is downloading, but quite slowly; however, as all Reddit owners of LG Watches are probably doing this at the moment, I'm sure the poor update server is being hammered!

Update #2: Apparently you can download the update manually and "sideload" if you're feeling brave.  Vague instructions on that reddit link.

Update #3: Success!
