Hi there,

Currently having a double light switch that operates both bathroom fan and ceiling light independently.

After having the Amazon echo, would like to install a smart switch that can do the same. But try to keep the wall mount space as similar as possible.

Could anyone provide a suggestion please?

I know a fibaro double relay will probably do it (it goes behind the switch plate so the existing switches are retained.

But at $130 for the relay (http://www.activeautomation.co.nz/fibaro-2-x-15kw-relay) plus $105 for a controller (http://www.activeautomation.co.nz/aeon-z-stick-gen5-controller). Its not a good off the shelf solution as youll need some sort of software to talk to the controller.

Maybe arlo or wemo have something that you can use, but I'm not sure if either of those support 2 circuits like you're probably after.

There is a New Zealand based solution. http://www.gemlighting.co.nz/

They have a tiny module that sits in the back of the light switch. Installing two should be trivial as they are very small. Then you put the two controller units in line with your light and your fan.

There is also the option of a WiFi unit to provide wifi access.
