Does anyone know the best match for the MYSKY box using the Broadlink e-control app. The closest I can find is a Foxtel lQ2. The problem is it doesn't reliably turn the myksy box off and on. Works most times. I tried to use the learning function, but couldn't get it to learn the on/off button on the MYSKY remote.

 Watching...

Was thinking about getting one, but mySkyHDi would be central to its use. Might be better of with Harmony Hub instead?

If it works but not repeatably then you may have an issue with IR interference rather than the right codes. What MYsky decoder do you have? If it is the new Kaon NS1120 I have found that it is difficult to get it to work reliably with an IR blaster. My experience has been with trying to change channels, however it's probably the same with on/off. I solved my problem by adding 2x layers of IR filter film on the front of the decoder, and positioning the IR blaster in the correct location on the front of the unit - but that won't be possible with the RM Pro I guess.

I have the broadlink device turn on or off my tv, home theater then sky box. It seems to work 3 out of 4 times. When it doesn't work, I notice the sky box shows receiving an IR command, the box will turn off then immediately turn back on, or vice versa. The broadlink has good line of sight with the skybox.

Is there a particular reason why you want to turn the mysky off? If you're having trouble then why not just leave it on... low power draw on standby so it's not using much energy $$.

Sky just solved the problem for me(for now). My 12 month telemarket plan of $49.00 per month is about to end and the price Sky want to charge is $109.00 so back the box goes and wait for 3 month standown period.

I had zero stand-down changing to the special deal - Sky went out of wife's name and new account into my name.

I've got the broadlink too but it just won't work with mysky

It works with my TV, AC and amp.

I have an old logitech harmony remote, which works fine.

I've tried learning from both the sky remote and the harmony remote.

the ir received light on the skybox does not even light up when using the broadlink, but does with the sky remote and the logitech remote.

any ideas??

Don't have Sky at the moment, from memory I found one of the available remotes that you can search for in the app. I think it was an Australian remote.

How do you do that?

My app only lets me choose TV's or AC's.

For the sky remote I have to do a customised remote and teach it the buttons.

when you go to add remote there is a search window at the top, type in the name of something, like pace, or the name of a tv manufacturer
