I wall mounted a 10" Fire tablet in my kitchen and it's the best thing ever.  Perfect for TV at breakfast, great for Spotify control when entertaining.  Using ActionTiles to use it as a command centre for all my lights, AV and sensors.  Highly recommend.  Tablet was USD99 and the mount was USD40.

where did you buy that recessed fitting from?  I need to get some.

I use to have tablets wall mounted, then I got an alexa, voice is so much easier IMO.  Tablets look cool though.

Pretty sure we got it from Advance Electrical in Wellington.  I hear you on Alexa (we have three and this tablet has Alexa built in).  It's an and, rather than an or.

A couple of those with an intercom app would be cool.

I could never find one that was that great.  Alexas work ok at them, but you cant just broadcast to every other alexa in the house, can "call home" but then someone has to answer one alexa and then youre just talking to that alexa not everyone in the house.

Question - does the tablet show your ActionTiles layout at all times, or does it go to sleep and need to be swiped/opened again at intervals?
