I have previously used an older model Belkin (it may have been the first edition), and I needed to have a separate charger to plug the ipod into the cig lighter to keep the ipod charged. The Blekin has now died, and I need something else. Can anyone recommend the bst FM Transmitter to look at for clarity and if possible that also charges the ipod at the same time?

On a side note, I have a '05 Subaru with the McIntosh factory stereo, does anyone know if I can get some sort of connection added to I can just plug the ipod in?

I was very happy with my iTrip Auto from Griffin (available in white or black), charge and transmit at same time from a single dock connector.

After 2 years of heavy use, it died - dodgy connection of the cable to the dock connector.

Would buy one again, but a $2 3.5mm cable from headphone port to the aux in is sooooo much better quality than any FM transmitter solution (but I miss the convenience of the iTrip auto).
