I have just been and bought a brand new iPod Classic 80GB, and it's sitting next to me charging at the moment. The guy at Noel Leeming said that it is recommended that you download the software updates for the iPod as these are created to fix any bugs that the iPod might have.

Silly me just nodded and said OK - where do I get the updates from, and how do I update the iPod?

Thanks for your help :)  This is always a handy place to come when you have a techy question.

iTunes software itself handles all the updates.

Once charged, plug it in to the PC, sync it up with iTunes, and have a little hunt around (hint: click on your ipod in itunes left hand sidebar).

Too easy - come back if you are still struggling and I can post screenshots.

Thank you :)  I shall have a play around once it is all charged.
