Is anyone else having problems with Alexa today?

First, she wouldn't cancel an alarm I'd set - she responded with "sorry I couldn't cancel your alarm; sorry something went wrong", so I went onto the Alexa app and it wouldn't let me access anything, and asked me to log in with my Amazon password. Then it won't log in. ("Sorry something went wrong on our end").

I reckon they must be having problems due to Prime Day.

When I log into Amazon via my PC, the only thing I can do when I mouse over my name is log out.

So it looks like Alexa is hamstrung until it is all over. No accessing reminders or other lists.

Yeah my wake up routine didn't run this morning. All I got was a "Ding" rather than giving me my briefing and playing the radio.

She worked fine when I asked though

Amazon's status page says it's operating normally but Down Detector says there are problems.

Amazon has plenty of resources in AWS, and tends to be well architected. The issues may or may not relate to prime day.

I had to enter a catchpa to get onto the amazon.com website. It usually works fine without that. Maybe they're getting DDOS'd or something.

Might explain why I was having issues with prime video this morning, couldn't sign in on a new device and an existing device was not showing that videos were available on prime.

Yep, I got that when I tried to open the Alexa app on my phone. Entered the Captcha and then it asked for my password but wouldn't log in.

The alarm I'd set for 9am has just gone off, but it's not the song on SPotify I'd requested; it's just making a noise. And it won't stop when I ask. Had to unplug her, just like HAL in 2001 :)

I've actually noticed that Alexa takes upwards of a minute to start playing the news briefing in the morning lately.

My echo spot has an orange ring and says it cant connect to wifi.

My echo dot told me that it couldnt snooze the alarm a few times thismorning and instead of playing the normal sound played a ding for one of the alarms.

I cant search on amazon.com - just get dog pictures.

so yeah somethings gone wrong at amazon.

Yeah, the Amazon.com site is definitely having trouble, seems to be worst when trying to search or filter for me.
