I know some medical research scientists who are using activity levels recorded on Jawbone devices to correlate against recovery times from surgical procedures.  The only hangup is that Jawbone as a company has shut down, and our devices can no longer sync.  Rumour has it that you can get step counts off the devices via BLE, without the need for a remote server.  This probably involves reverse-engineering the manufacturer's android app.  Has anyone out there done this before?  Can you help me extract some data from now-unsupported devices?
