Does anyone know anyone that's using the Abode home security system here in NZ?

Found references to other international users getting it working outside the United States, e.g. https://www.reddit.com/r/Abode/comments/7n4o9t/abode_in_the_uk/

Will probably need a new power brick for 240V to match the inbound DC voltage on the gateway but that should be feasible.

Or anyone that's looked at getting the Ring Security System working here.

Or Nest Secure. Wow, so many options for wireless home security options. Nest Secure not listed on the NZ version of the Nest site.

Many of these units use Z-Wave - Please do your research and ensure you've read the Z-Wave requirements for NZ to prevent yourself from getting into trouble.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

Abode looks to use Z-Wave so could be problematic.

Ring looks like it uses Z-Wave Plus so could also be problematic.

Nest Secure looks to use a proprietary protocol called Weave which looks to use the standard Wi-Fi network, so probably OK. If we're happy to get somewhat tied into the Google family of products and happy for the $$ spend on that perhaps we'll continue looking down that path. Still looks to be a number of other vendor solutions that work with Nest so probably OK. Integration with August Lock main focus right now.
