The usual suspects internationally are still what I'd class as expensive ($100 USD for 6 metres!). I haven't looked around much locally yet but hoping there's a cheap place. I have looked on Surplustronics' site.

I'm rebuilding my new CNC machine's electronics with a new motion controller, new proximity limit/home switches and a proper E-Stop circuit instead of the dodgy current one. I have most of the parts sorted but this is stumping me.

Any electrical merchant will have access to it. It's pretty standard MCC trunking

As mentioned, suss out a sparkie who can more than likley get 'trade' rates from the wholesalers (Coreys, Ideal etc etc).

Ta - so this would appear to be the last plastic item in the world that Chinese manufacturers haven't yet managed to copy and make available cheaply... Given the ludicrous pricing (some sizes are several hundred dollars per meter!) I think I'll use ordinary trunking and cut holes in it.

I'm sure there's a good reason why these are so expensive (fire ratings I assume primarily) but youch.

Any Chch local sparkys want to hook me up with a meter or so of this stuff for cheap?

At least I know now the correct name so I could search more effectively (and found it on RS with the correct name).

Open trunking  &  slotted  trunking are more common terms for it

I suppose the freight cost from China kills it.
What he said, ask for slotted turning. Won't be too pricey.

I can give you an off cut if ur in wellington.

SO I was driving to Timaru to pickup a cheap breaker box for the new CNC electronics and on the way back through Ashburton I saw a Redpath electrical in my peripheral vision so did a U-turn and stopped to see if they had this. They did and a 2m section was only $22 so of course bought that... It was a lot more expensive to buy overseas or even through RS... So this is all good.

I had to get out of there quickly though or I fear I would have bought many, MANY things.
