Andy McNab's ex SAS character often refers to his Baby-G, but while the Casio G-Shock lineup would take the knocks, they'd knock you right back, right in your wallet.  Baby-G sell from US$80  How much is a cheap watch at The Warehouse, and how long would  it last?

these are cheap and last for ever, that's why they are so popular. if you ever had the need to replace a battery...Id just by another of these watches. I've got one that's been sitting in a drawer for 8 years and its still going.

Was also going to recommend the Casio F-91W for its international cachet.

I had one of these as a kid, and loved it. My 12-year old loves his one too. The only thing you gotta watch is screening for getting on an international flight....
