Since being given a Kindle a couple years ago, Ive gotten back into reading, and enjoying it. The Kindle itself (a touch IIRC) has been fantastic, but Im now finding sources of books (legitimate) that only supply protected PDF's or EPUB files. While I can convert these to be able to use on my Kindle, its annoying.

So, is there a half decent e-reader out there I should look at that will handle more file types etc inc protected PDFs ?

Lot of people say to get a tablet, yes, it can handle the files etc, the screens are generally not so nice (IMO) to read for long periods of time. (and heavy, whereas with the Kindle I can hold it one handed)
