Does anyone know if something like this exists?!

I know there are loads of z-wave based dimmers, but I really dont want to introduce z-wave in to the mix. MQTT is just so simple and requires no looking after or extra radio network etc.

At this stage I'm just trialing an AC dimmer that does zero-cross detection to feed back in to an arduino. But it's super custom, and not giving very good results actually.

What about the sonoff ones? They’re rated for all sort of voltages. Of course won’t be certified for here.

If you must have certified, jaycar do a WiFi relay. Not sure if they have a dimmer version.

Cant say i know of any that are certified sadly..

long as that isn't a concern for you, i'd pickup something reputable.

Although it's only for LED, I'm quite a fan of the shelly 2 LED.

I bought one of these. It works fine with its app and alexa, its dimming some incandesant lamps at the moment just fine. Not tried it on LEDs yet. All the places around the house I would want to put these wifi switches has 2/3/4 way switching and noone makes them for that :(

I have been a bad geek and not even opened it up to see about reflashing it yet. Its one of those cheaply constructed ones that would never get local certification because you can pull the cover glass off without tools and then have a good poke around inside with your finger.

Yea don't care about certified or not - the entire house is switched with Sonoff's in the flush boxes at the moment.

The only dimmer that Sonoff do is with the built-in wall plate too right? I want to leave the PDL plates in place, no need for rotary dials either, I will just dim directly from node-red based on scene selection (bed time, movie time etc).

Wasn't aware of the Shelly LED! That looks promising. Although, is it designed to drive the LED's directly? All my fittings have 240V AC going straight in to them like a conventional light.
