Hi all

Looking for some over ears, but budget can only do $150 or less. I have found that many headphones that are passable for pop or mid-range music, fail miserably with genres like metal or thrash. Typically the lower ends just disappear and everything seems tinny.

Can anyone recommend some overears that can handle metal well. I realise I won't end up with studio references quality phones but it needs to be reasonable.

Thanks

Thanks, unfortunately those are on-ear and I'd really like some over ear ones if I can find em.

These are really good for rock/metal music , top 10 on most sites.

Comes in at the upper end of your budget but have you considered HD518s? (their newer model is HD 559)
