How many others have a set of these?

I recently bought a pair and have been suitably impressed but was wondering if the others with the earphones have the same super sticky ear inserts? I'm thinking that they are irritating the inside of my ear because they are so sticky. They almost feel like they're deteriorated rubber...

I appreciate that the seal they make while sticky is better than non sticky but i don't like the idea of only being able to wear them for a few hours before i have to take them out for a few more. Not ideal when the flights i tend to take are +12hrs

I have one pair and never noticed this. Are these new "sticky" inserts?

When i say 'sticky' they will almost stick to eachother when pressed together. Holding one in the air and pressing another into it will have it stick for a few seconds and then fall off. Dust also sticks to them rather fiercely.

As a comparison i have a pair of Sony ear buds and their inserts are far more inert but are still rubbery enough to make a seal in my ear. It could just be that i'm not used to such rubber for ear buds.
