I have a bunch of Uniden DSS9755 cordless phones and an answering machine / base station. These are quite a few years old now, but after replacing some batteries they're still working quite well overall. I would however like to replace the kitchen unit which has had a bit of a hard life.

My question is will a modern Uniden (or other) DECT phone still be compatible and register with the rest of the system?  I don't really want to have to replace the whole lot if I don't need to.

Having said that, I see there is a system on the market that apparently lets you join your mobile phone into the home system as well. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks,

Pete.

Uniden have historically hacked the DECT standard to suit their own requirements and have historically never inclused GAP support for interoperability between DECT brands.

If it doesn't have GAP it's not going to work.

But another (newer) Uniden should work right?
