I'm pretty sure that I up until recently could ask Alexa to play a song on my Sonos (without having to add the word 'Sonos').

If I try it now, it just plays on my Amazon Echo Plus, unless I ask it to play on Sonos.

Example:

Alexa, play Everlong by Foo Fighters. (this then plays on the Echo Plus).

Alexa, play Everlong by Foo Fighters on Sonos. (this then plays on Sonos).

Isn't there a way where I can tell Alexa to play any song request on Sonos?

I'm using Amazon Music by the way (1st day using it).

I used to be able to do this with Spotify...I think.

if its anything like google home you have to use the devices name the first time, then it will just keep playing on that device till you tell it otherwise.

yes

mine just works, didn't do anything special.

Maybe remove Alexa/Spotify/Sonos integration, and re-add it

Maybe it just doesn't work with Amazon Music?

It used to work, when I used Spotify.

I'll try on mine when I get home tonight

There is a default music app setting, I have mine set to Spotify, maybe yours is set to Amazon Music?
