Is this a gimmick or does people think it might have some merit?

Amazon Switchbot

Toying with getting a couple to play with - be cool if could turn on the coffee machine in the morning which won't work with a timer switch since it requires a button to be pressed which this device is advertised as being able to do.  Of course to get it to work wit Alexa you need the hub also else it's just something standalone you control with your phone.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

That's strange since the link works for me. It might well have an embedded Amazon logon it it.

Anyway it looks like a cute gadget - just wonder what other folks thought of it.

Works for me too. Are you still using IE6 @scottjpalmer?

Cool idea. I wonder if it is going to work well in the real world.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Ask Homer if it's a good idea.

You can do it much more cheaply with ITAPPMONROBOT, which I can't post a link to here because of filtering, but do a Google search for the term (it's entirely G-rated).
