Hope I've put this in the relevant spot... I have a HP 15" Pavilion Intel i7 Laptop and would love some recommendations on backpacks that look good but also fit a 15" laptop.

I'm looking at these:

(the more expensive but has USB charger/free shipping)

https://www.carry-labs.com/shop/45

(possibly too small but looks decent) https://themarket.com/nz/p/bellroy-slim-15%22-laptop-backpack/4537-BLRBSBA

(the cheaper) https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/computers-tablets/accessories/stm/stm-myth-18l-15-backpack-granite-black/352353

Any ideas?

Does it have to be a backpack? I love my Timbuk2 messenger.

Could try the local option - especially if you are in Chch or WGT.

cactus climbing

Indestructible, very well made, not cheap - but last forever.

I love Vaude, we have had theirs for many years.

This one is an update on the ones we have, and there is heaps of room for a laptop, as I carry mine to work every day.

Read this recent thread.

I got the Timbuk2 Division. It fits my surface pro with heaps of space to spare, and my larger Lenovo is fine too, but it says it fits a 15" laptop. There's plenty of room in the bag for regular commuting stuff, gloves, scarf, mouse, wallet, enough to take an evening's worth of groceries home. The front pocket is a bit of a pain to open, but it's fine. The internal pockets are ok. All in all I recommend it.

I can also highly recommend the Mystery Ranch bags, their Urban 21L fits a laptop and its incredibly comfortable to carry in any situation. I spent 4 years before deciding on my replacement backpack, after testing nearly every backpack I saw in shops and spending countless hours researching and reading reviews. My wife thought (still thinks) I was crazy.

Thank you soso much for the replies, honestly didn't think anyone would respond :)

Timbuk2 looks really cool! Right now I've gone for the carry labs 45 degree, they've been really nice over email. Fingers crossed!
