So long as you are willing to accept Amazon spying on you 24/7.

I don't trust Amazon, Google or Facebook.

I like the look of that speaker with the clock in it. As long as it’s got the physical microphone button still, I might look at one.

It's not a tin foil thing whatsoever... it's a case of swapping your information / activities in exchange for a modicum of convenience.

Some people see it as being worthwhile, after all, so many companies already do this.

Personally, I steer as many people away from Alexa / Siri / Google Assistant as possible.

No tin foil hat required, just a healthy attitude to my privacy rights.

The glasses and the ring are gadgets looking for a reason to exist.
The ring is able to transmit phone calls or Alexa messages. Trouble is you have to hold it up to your ear so your may as well just do that with your phone.

I agree the ring is pretty pointless, but the glasses did have an advantage over just a phone (if you already wear glasses) - the handsfree calling and personal audio options weren't bad, and they are better looking and cheaper than Bose frames although it all depends on the sound quality of course.

Having Samuel L Jackson  cussing back as a response to questions has appeal, although I could imagine it would get tiresome pretty quickly...

Very quickly in my experience.
