Hi everyone.

Got mi alarm running, had the idea to add a second siren (an external one)

Installed it paralell to the existing one (bell output) wich had already a resistor added (paralell too)

It worked for a few days but now it dos not: no audible sound from the new one, and a little, almost unhearable sound from the older siren.

What could have happened? Culd have burnt the sirens connecting that way? How can I check it the sirens are OK, or troubleshoot at all

Thanks!

No they should be fine, you would have exceeded the 3amp rating of the bell output(it'll auto shutdown the bell output), try just one at a time and test it

SP4000 has a very very low power output compared to SP5500 and other models. You might get around it by changing sirens to a WP06 siren (LED flasher) type. Most of the current gets used on the bulb type strobes.

You'll find the power drain is too much especially when keypads etc start shutting down / not responding.
