I'm looking to purchase a new iPhone. I'm looking at this refurbished model here (https://www.dicksmith.co.nz/dn/buy/apple-iphone-8-refurbished-64gb-space-grey-a-grade-kag-apple/) from Dick Smith. My sister bought an AB-grade refurbed iPhone 7 a few weeks ago and it seems fine except a small mark on the LCD.

The discount seems very impressive, does anyone have any experience with Dick Smith refurbished iPhones?

Would you recommend the iPhone 7 Plus over the iPhone 8?

7plus has a larger screen, but other than that there isn't a massive difference in day to day use.

The 8 has a glass back, newer internals and will be supported for a year longer. That's about it.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

So going by the above stat's iPhone 7 will be supported through to 2020 or 2021 which would be iOS 14 or iOS 15 or a total of 4 to 5 years but that chart slightly indicates that Apple is stretching it out just a bit each couple of years so the 7 could go to 2022 - iOS 16.

Here is hoping cause we have an iPhone 7 each and our next update will be a eSIM 5g model which I would prefer Apple to have a couple of 5g models under their belt first before we update.

But you can never tell with Apple as they always keep things tight to their chest.
