I've got some earpods with a 2.5mm plug (male).

I need an adapter to convert it to 3.5mm to fit my ipod clone, so the converter needs to go from a 3.5mm shaft (male) to 2.5mm socket (female).

Now, I would have thought this gizmo would easy to find, but not so.  Even Dick Smith doesn't have such a thing.  There's plenty of the other sort, 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female, but not this one.

I did find one here: http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=928&t_mode=des but  I think $US9 is a little rich.

Anyone know where I'd get one in NZ?

Thanks, that's the one alright.  And it's only $NZ3.50.

Only trouble is, it's $5.00 postage.  Further problem - the total doesn't reach their minimum of $10.

So I'll need to buy some more of their stuff.

But no worries, it's about time I had some retail therapy :-)

Cheers!

Here's a heads-up:

Did some research and found that Jaycar (the Aussie outfit that lists the adapter) have NZ distributors.

I called one and he's getting the part in for me.  Excellent result!  Thanks again Zocster :-)

GeekIT, I don't suppose you looked on the stores page did you?

As well as authorised resellers, Jaycar have a number of branded stores throughout the country.

XCubed, yes, I did.  That's where I got the number of the distributor nearest me.

Cheers :-)
