I've got a unit that shows 2 km/h when I'm doing about 10km/h, stops when I try going uphill and is completely erratic with acceleration.

Before I return the damn thing to Spark I want to make sure it isn't a user error... but segway.com only provides support to US/Canada, and the local website is just a WordPress page from 2016.

Does anyone know who provides the support for Segway Ninebot scooters in NZ?

That website is literally an image https://segway.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Segway-home-page-1_ge_1.jpg

And I don't think segwaynz@icloud.com is an official NZ Segway contact.

Electricrider are a retailer, and they've discontinued ES2 because in their view it's a piece of crap. After a day of ownership it's probably too early for me to agree, but I'm starting to lean that way.

I’ve just googled Segway New Zealand on the companies website.
It’s recently changed company name as of this year but the directors address seems to be the same area as the webpage. (Personal transport limited).

Good luck.

Where did you buy it from? The retailer would be your first point of contact for warranty.

Ah, that would be Spark.

I don't want to go down the warranty route right away though. First I want to make sure I'm not doing anything stupid myself - since I only got it on Friday it's pretty likely I'm doing something wrong.

The user manual for these scooters is really inadequate, and the web and the app only offer support to US/Canada customers.

Usually in such situations I just flick an email to the manufacturer, but in this case - can't figure out how to contact them. Really weird.

So...

When I go onto segway.com, change the country language to "NZ" (bottom right).

Search for a service centre in NZ and I get the place mentioned above just north of Auckland...

Thanks!

Weird, when I change location (bottom right) to NZ it takes me to http://ap-en.segway.com/ (I assume "ap" stands for Asia-Pacific). Then when I go to Support -> Customer Service you end up back in the Segway US Zendesk website.

The contact details you've got are correct though, and so is the email segwaynz@icloud.com . I guess setting up @segway.co.nz for the email is too difficult?

Anyway, turns out part of the dashboard is dead, so they'll send me a replacement handlebar. Hopefully that'll sort it out.
