Any recommendation for a digital piano under 1k? My wife wants to learn during her spare time. We had a Casio keyboard before when my son was learning to play but the keys felt weird so wanted a digital piano this time.

Yamaha Diskclavier.
You can do something else then whilst the piano plays itself...! 😇
It sounds as though you are looking for a good weighted-action keyboard.
Of all those that I have tried or owned, Korg are the best.
Your budget might stretch to an 88 key weighted Korg if you can get a deal.
If you cannot, have a look on trademe for a good used item.

Am looking at either the Korg B2 or B2N. Next will be the Yamaha or Casio CDP models. Was hoping someone have first hand experience with them.
If you're not in Auckland, head into your local music store.
Musicworks carry Yamaha, I'm not sure who will stock Korg - but ultimately, your wife will want to try out the 'feel' of the keys so it's worth making a trip to a shop if you can.

Unfortunately Auckland based. I guess I have to wait till hopefully level 3 gets lifted. I am keen to feel the difference between the B2 and the cheaper B2N.
We got a Casio WK-240 for our 12 year old rather than a 88 key digital piano
It has 76 keys (most portables have 66) and although does not have a true hammer action keyboard it is touch sensitive (2 levels)
And what is best is was really good value for money half the cost of the CDP-235R which was our preferred digital piano but we felt that the CDP-235R was over the top for a first timer
Whatever you go for shop around, you'll get a good deal
I got a Casio digital piano many years ago, after learning on a real piano for years. Keys feel good, it sounds good, especially with headphones or external speakers. I remember the price being reasonable. Recommended.
