I want to look at OpenSprinkler to give my plants a better chance of survival this summer.

Can someone please recommend some solenoids and a power supply, rain sensor, moisture sensor. I'm after 2 zones at this point.

Thanks.

I bought this solenoid from banggood approx 2.5 years ago for my own automated sprinkler system (single zone though) that I built for OpenHAB.  Still going strong, no rust!

I got all mine from irrigationexpress.co.nz along with the manifold to put them onto. Cheaper than anything at bunnings. Power supply I had some old incandesent outdoor xmas lights that had failed but has quite a large power transformer that output 24v AC on a barrel plug, and I am using a controller from Rachio that I got off amazon ages back. Prior to that I had an irrigationcaddy one but it crapped out one day and I couldnt get into its control website so gave up on it.
