Today all my Echo devices (an Echo Show and Echo Studio and several Dots) went offline and have refused to reconnect to the internet. Ive reset the Show but when I try to log into my account I get the screen (pictured below).

There appears no issue with my wifi as other devices are connecting without issue. I had an incredibly frustrating chat with Amazon support who, bizarrely, insisted that Echo devices are not sold in NZ so of course they will not work (I bought the devices at Noel Leeming and Harvey Norman, and they have worked without issue for several years).

One issue may be that I have a legacy AmazonUK account, but I have also tried on a separate one on an alternate email at AmazonAU, with the same issue.

Any thoughts anyone?

Using your ISP's default DNS?

Are you folks using a third party DNS?

Yes.....I have SmartDNS configured on the Router (primarily used for streaming services on FireTV). Through process of elimination I figured this could be the issue. The odd thing is the issue is only evident via WiFi, my ethernet connected FireTV is working perfectly.

I only use a smart DNS service on my Amazon Fire TV with local settings. I keep the rest of the network using my ISP DNS.

Tonight everythings back online as normal, with no input from me. As mentioned, I think it was a SmartDNS issue, which I figure theyve tweaked things to resolve.

Much thanks.
